Condition validation is part of the Awesome Joe Auctions’ patent-pending Buy Confident ProcessSM. If conditions are listed on a vehicle that you have agreed to purchase, you as the buyer, can request a report validating those conditions. The seller will then have the listed conditions validated by a third party(ies) of their choosing and have the report sent to you. You can request that the seller use a specific validator or add specific conditions to the report, but it is ultimately their choice to accommodate your requests. You will receive the condition validation report after you have agreed to purchase the vehicle, but you can request certain conditions be added to the report before the sale happens.
The Buy Confident process also requires the buyer (you) to make a $500.00 (or less*) deposit within seven days of sale. This deposit will be placed in a secure escrow account of the seller’s choosing and will be released to the seller after you receive the condition validation report. If the seller refuses to provide the report, your deposit will be returned to you and you can back out of the sale if you choose. Our Awesome Joe Agents can help you with your escrow deposit.
NOTE: If the condition validation report reveals different information than what was originally presented on the listing, you do NOT have to buy the vehicle and can back out of the deal with no repercussions.
*If you purchase a vehicle for under $5,000.00, your required deposit will be 10% of whatever the final sale price is.
